The Role:

  • A key role within the UK Operations Team based in Bristol serving mobile technology provision throughout the UK.
  • Leading a team of technicians and technician apprentices in a hands on environment, to meet and deliver customer expectations.
  • Despatching orders to timescales; working with the Sales and Support teams to deliver excellent and timely service at all times.
  • Coaching, training and supporting apprentices through their learning
  • Ensuring that orders and exchanges are fulfilled, that correct stock levels are available and maintained working with the UK Logistics Manager.

 

The Person:

  • A manager with experience of leading a team, used to delivering service to a broad range of customers and industries.
  • Being able to work within defined KPIs and deliver desired levels of performance consistently. Keen to deliver service above customer expectations.
  • Interested in problem solving and resolving issues through root cause analysis.
  • Thrives within a team environment; and is happy communicating with all levels of the company both internally and externally.
  • Has an interest in technology and interacting with technology – in an environment of business-to-business end user requirements in a hands on environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Part of the team, leading the Service Technicians team to fulfil customer orders daily, completing orders as required.
  • Identify and implement possible improvements with the Technical department on customer requirements documentation.
  • Support through training and coaching high quality standards across the team’s output.
  • Leading quality checking and assuring work completed by the team before despatch.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues within the team and liaise with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Liaise with the wider Customer team on progress of projects, orders and swaps.
  • Working with other TRG facilities to promote best practice and right first-time methodology.
  • Any other reasonable tasks in supporting the Operations team.

 

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

  • Experience of managing a team in a customer facing environment; with communication skills across all levels internally and externally.
  • Used to working in a technical environment – with hands on experience of completing tasks to instruction.
  • Proactive, self-accountable and self-motivated with the ability to perform within tight time constraints.
  • Attention to detail with the confidence to ask for help when required.
  • Team working & supportiveness: a natural team player, who works productively with others and thrives in a team environment.

  • Responsible for all operational activity within our Bristol location.
  • Managing teams for logistics and production in a technical environment where speed and accuracy are of equal importance.
  • Managing KPIs and responsible for the cost elements within the operation.
  • Lead on logistics arrangements; costs, and capabilities working with carriers and other logistics providers.
  • Recruitment and people management lead, including annual leave management.
  • Health and Safety lead.
  • Project delivery working with Sales and Project Management to schedule and deliver services within timescales and to cost.
  • Development of new processes for new customer onboarding including any appropriate systems changes.
  • Managing a team including Logistics and Production Managers, to deliver within.
  • Despatching orders to timescales; working with the Sales and Support teams to deliver excellent and timely service at all times.
  • Coaching, training and supporting apprentices through their learning.
  • Ensuring that orders and exchanges are fulfilled, that correct stock levels are available and maintained working with the UK Logistics Manager.
  • Development of Standard Operating Procedures and implementation to the team.

 

The Person:

  • An experienced people manager, used to delivering service to a broad range of customers and industries.
  • Self starter – used to working without close supervision.
  • Track record of working within defined KPIs and deliver desired levels of performance consistently. Keen to deliver service above customer expectations.
  • Passionate about problem solving and resolving issues through root cause analysis.
  • Thrives within a team environment; and is happy communicating with all levels of the company both internally and externally.
  • Has an interest in technology and interacting with technology – in an environment of business-to-business end user requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the Production and Logistics Managers to deliver service within agreed timescales, quality and cost.
  • Working with courier companies to present innovative, cost-effective solutions for the final delivery of devices to the end users.
  • Warehouse accuracy and efficiency – ensuring customer owned stock is presented professionally and with high levels of availability.
  • Identify and implement possible improvements with the Technical or Business Intelligence departments on customer requirements.
  • Support through training and coaching high quality standards across the team’s output.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues within the team and liaise with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Liaise with the wider Customer team on progress of projects, orders and swaps.
  • Working with other TRG facilities to promote best practice and right first-time methodology.
  • Any other reasonable tasks in supporting the Operations team.
